As a Canadian who frequents cooking, navigating the world of measurements can be really confusing. Although Canada uses the metric system, we are so heavily influenced by American culture that even our recipes often have much influence.
When writing recipes, I find it complicated sometimes to make it as easy as possible for everyone. So I've put together a full guide full with charts in order to make cooking as accessible and simple for everyone as possible - no matter where you come from.
This 4 page PDF contains all the conversions you'll ever need! To get this great file sent to your email, click "download" on the form below!
So Now What?
I've downloaded this free resource, but what do I actually do with it?
I love to print out things like this and keep them handy in my kitchen. Having to convert recipes is a struggle and it's nice to not have to google "what is a pound of butter in cups?" or "how many tablespoons of flour are in 3 ounces?".
Having to touch my phone and get it dirty, or worse, get germs on my hands while I cook isn't ideal. I love to have this chart in the same drawer I keep all my misc tools for quick access.
The recipe world is now at your fingertips! Enjoy!
Have More Troubleshooting?
I love to create the most thorough recipes possible to avoid kitchen slip-ups and reduce food waste. I have a full section on how to use up the leftovers from a recipe and also load up all my recipes with tips on reducing food waste like my banana compost tea, zero waste pesto and asparagus ends soup.
